7th Minute is looking for a senior backend engineer with strong software and cloud engineering skills. You will lead the build of a set of brand new backend systems, focussed on video processing, NLP integrations, and highly scalable developer-centric APIs.
The primary goal of the new system is to process digital tv video signals using NLP transcription and classification algorithms. The system powers the 7th Minute Discovery application, generating keywords and keyword metadata.
The system has been initially designed and prototyped, but 7th Minute actively wants this engineer to shape the final and most effective design, and communicate its strengths, weaknesses, and necessary trade-offs.
As a Python-focussed engineer, you will be focussed on developing a secure & resilient platform, with these key features:
You will also build automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
You will implement instrumentation systems with metrics, tracing, and logging.
